Turkey Premium Lenses
The eyes are composed of many delicate tissues that work in harmony with each other. Each of these tissues is specialized to perform a different function. Thus, they enable us to see and perceive our surroundings in a short time that seems instantaneous to us. These special tissues, which work every moment we are awake, can wear out over time under the influence of environmental and genetic factors. As this wear accumulates and progresses, vision problems begin to emerge. Many problems such as blurred vision, scattered light, double vision and faded colors may occur. In fact, in diseases such as cataracts, if treatment is not provided in time, vision may be lost completely.
Today’s technology allows us to artificially produce some tissues in the eye. Thanks to these specially produced artificial tissues, it is possible to treat many vision problems and eye diseases. Premium lenses or premium intraocular lenses are also among these artificial tissues. These transparent tissues, which replace the worn-out eye lens, are used to ensure that vision can occur without any problems. In the rest of our article, we will answer frequently asked questions such as “How much are premium lenses?”, “How are premium lenses implanted?”, “Who are premium lenses suitable for?” and “How is premium lens surgery performed?”

What is a Premium Lens?
Premium lenses are lenses with an advanced focus mechanism that allows a person to see both near and far without any problems. These lenses can be used for vision disorders such as hyperopia, myopia, astigmatism and cataracts. They are especially ideal for cataract patients to successfully restore vision. Premium lenses can be called by many names such as trifocal lenses, three-focus lenses and intraocular lenses.
Premium lenses are placed in the eye through a special surgery. After this surgery, patients can see both near and far without the need for glasses.
In Which Situations Are Premium Lenses Preferred?
Premium lenses can be used to treat many visual impairments. The natural lens in the eyes undergoes instant changes throughout the day, allowing us to see near and far. However, in some cases, it can wear out and lose its natural structure due to genetic and environmental factors. This can cause the individual to see distant, near or both blurry. In such cases, premium lenses can be preferred. Thus, the need for prescription glasses or contact lenses will be largely eliminated.
What are the advantages of Premium Lens?
The advantages of premium lenses are:
- They eliminate the need for glasses.
- They eliminate the need for contact lens use.
- They enable a person to see both far and near.
- Their usage period is quite long, they can be used for a lifetime.
- They prevent the recurrence of diseases such as cataracts.
- Despite their thin and transparent structure, they do not deteriorate, get damaged or become dull.
The benefits or advantages of premium lenses can be listed in this way.
Who can implant premium lenses?
Premium lenses are generally specific to individuals in their 40s or older. However, they are also available at earlier ages with advanced visual impairment. The doctor who performs the individual’s eye examination will inform the patient about premium lenses. You can call us to get detailed information on the subject.
How is Premium Lens Surgery Performed?
Premium lens surgery is performed in exactly the same way as cataract surgery. This procedure is commonly performed using laser technologies today. In smart lens surgery, first anesthesia is applied to the patient’s eyes. Anesthesia is usually performed with special eye drops, but in some cases local or general anesthesia may also be used. After the anesthesia process, the natural but worn lens in the individual’s eye is broken down with controlled laser pulses. The lens pieces are collected with a vacuum. Then, premium lenses are placed in the patient’s eyes with great care. This process is not done for both eyes at the same time. It is applied to one eye first, and then to the second eye a few days after the first procedure.
Premium lens surgery is completed in a short time of 10 to 15 minutes.
What is the Recovery Process Like After Premium Lens Surgery?
Patients are discharged after premium lens surgery. They may have blurry vision due to edema in their eyes for a few days. However, their vision will improve significantly within 2 to 4 days. Full recovery can occur within 1 to 2 weeks following surgery.
