Yasin Şakir Göker MD

I was born in Ankara in 1984. I completed my elementary education at Çiğiltepe Elementary School and Tevfik İleri Elementary School in Ankara. I finished my secondary education at Ankara Atatürk High School, and my high school education at Kuleli Military High School. I completed the first 5 years of my medical education at Gülhane Military Medical Faculty between 2003 and 2008. I graduated in 2009 after completing my internship year, which is the 6th year of medical training, at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine. While continuing my mandatory service at the Ertuğrul Gazi Health Center in Gölbaşı, Ankara, I ranked 37th in Turkey in the Medical Specialty Exam and began my ophthalmology specialization at SB. Beyoğlu Eye Training and Research Hospital.

Between 2010 and 2014, I completed my specialist training with a thesis titled “The Effect of Perifoveal Pseudocysts on Anatomical Success in Macular Hole Surgery.” I briefly worked as an ophthalmologist at Çerkezköy State Hospital. From 2015 to 2020, I served as a specialist at SB. Ulucanlar Eye Training and Research Hospital, one of Turkey’s other eye hospitals. I received the title of Associate Professor in Ophthalmology at the same hospital in 2020. Between 2020 and 2022. I worked at Ankara World Eye Hospital, another eye hospital.
